This is Paola.
She was born in the egg industry, meaning she was separated from her mother shortly after birth. During her short life, she experienced all sorts of pain… from having a portion of her beak cut off with a searing-hot blade without any pain relief to witnessing the death of many chicks by crushing and suffocating.
